These students have a basic knowledge of English. This level focuses on strengthening the four basic skills of language along with grammar and vocabulary. It also promotes the development of skills in critical thinking. The IR content of this level is for students to identify countries and regions of the world. 3. RATIONALE Proper management of an international language such as English is necessary so that a professional in international relations can function in an increasingly globalized and multicultural society. The internationalization of the relations between the global communities has brought about challenges that every professional needs to face in order to be more competitive. Among those challenges is adopting a language that facilitates communication - both personally and professionally - with other cultures. |
