It provides an intermediate level language class that allows students to develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Speaking activities aim to motivate students to interact in social situations. Students will also have the opportunity to develop vocabulary and grammar through specific strategies within a social, as well as academic context. 3.RATIONALE With the globalization of relationships, there is a need to adopt a language as an international means of communication. Universidad Del Norte has developed a program of English that will help students in their future professional life to become leaders in their area of expertise, as well as future candidates for postgraduate and specialized courses, including PHD, in foreign universities.
