This course is intended for students who have completed the course Business Inglés VI. This level focuses on the development of language skills, with emphasis on oral skills of speaking and listening. It will develop the skills and vocabulary necessary for a professional in the field of International Business.


3. RATIONALE

Globalization has brought many challenges that all professionals need to face in order to be more competitive and marketable. Among these challenges is the need to adopt a foreign language that would facilitate communication within the international environment at a professional and personal level. The Instituto de Idiomas has designed this Business English program in order to contribute to their intellectual, professional and cultural development through English.


4.OBJECTIVES

4.1. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
This course aims to provide students with the concepts and practice of business communication to prepare them to succeed in a business context in English. Students will integrate the skills of foreign language skills, vocabulary and real communication strategies through tasks and authentic business materials. All this will allow students to communicate orally in the field of International Business. During the course, students' English level B2.2 will be developed according to the CEFR.

4.2. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, students will be able to:

Critically analyze the quality of the voice and pronunciation.
Make inferences and draw conclusions from short analytic talks.
Make an informative and persuasive presentation with visual aids, incorporating strategies, introductions, transitions and effective conclusions.
Establish a relationship with the audience during meetings and presentations.
Effectively answer questions from the audience during and after a presentation.
Participate effectively in negotiations.
Establish and defend opinions orally by synthesizing relevant information.
Create effective visual aids.
